howtoenjoythebible.com is based upon a book of the same name written by E.W. Bullinger (1837-1913). Though he is often criticized as being a "dispensationalist", he was an expert in Biblical languages and a recognized scholar, creating such ground-breaking works as

Motivation

Like Bullinger, I believe that many people do not enjoy the Bible because they do not understand it. The traditions and doctrines of men obscure both the interpretation and application of the Word and prevent it from being "rightly divided".

The guides found in this book, with their common-sense principals and disregard for tradition, will help the Bible student to better understand and enjoy the Bible.

  Two Testaments: Up to the 2nd Century, the Greeks used Old Covenant to describe the Hebrew Bible. This became Vestus Testamentum in the Latin version of the Bible (the Latin Vulgate), and this is where our English Old Testament originates. New Testament is used in distinction, but neither of these namesare true to the early descriptions of the Bible.
